Welcome to the roaring 20's and a new decade!
So tell me, how are you feeling about 2020?
Excited? Apprehensive? Tired? Unsure? Pumped? Overwhelmed? Joyful?
I'm personally beginning to feel really relaxed about this year. Over the last few weeks, I've come to a cosy place where I am now going with the flow and trusting whatever unravels. After 2019 being a huge year of change and plans not working out how I expected, I no longer want to try to control the outcome. I'm craving a year of presence, calmness and connection - these are my 3 guiding words for 2020. I do have a few goals I want to pursue like daily meditation, increasing my fitness, doing more herbal medicine study and living as sustainable as possible on the planet.
I highly recommended having a guiding word (or 3) for the year. It's such a gentle but powerful way to connect with how you want to feel over the next 12 months. Choose a word that makes you feel inspired and calm. But I can tell you, your word will most likely challenge you on many levels too.
I want to take you on a journey back in time for a bit. Grab your journal, a pen and perhaps some old photographs from 10 years ago...

I was newly married, at the beginning of my self-healing journey and discovering the world of natural health and wellness! I was working on an organic farm and in two health food stores. I was fostering a baby duck and enjoying weekly horse riding lessons with my good friend. I had dreams to travel, live in England and study something health related. I was a little unsettled in New Zealand... curious to discover more of the world!

Ok. Awesome. I hope that feels good. Now let's look at who you are today and how you can create a life that aligns with your values!
Firstly, do you know what your core values are? Knowing our values help us create the future we want to experience. For example one of my core values is sustainability and my goals and intentions are rooted in this value.
Click here for a list of values and choose 5-7 values that resonate the most with you. Make sure to write any down that aren't on the list too. It can be hard to choose, don't over think it. Follow your heart. There's no right or wrong answer.

What intentions can I make to further live these values in 2020?
I have written down my 2020 intentions in my journal under these different areas;
Mind, Body, Soul, Spirit and Menstrual Cycle.
You may have 1 intention or 20.
The important thing is to create intentions that are aligned with your values.
Make them into art. Record a voice memo. Paint them on a your wall. Type them in your phone. Tell them to a friend or partner. Write a song... just do it your way, whatever feels good.
